Hiper was born in early 2003 from mix of circumstances and good timing that brought together its Technical Director, Stuart Taylor and its Managing Director, Derek Gillanders. Stuart and Derek have been friends for over 30 years, going through Primary and Secondary School and University together.

Pre Hiper, Stuart was Head of Network Services Development at Atlantic Telecom. Sadly, when the Internet and Telecoms Bubble burst Atlantic went into administration and ceased trading. Derek was an ICT and Cost Management Consultant, contracting on large scale ICT led Business Process Outsourcing projects.

Both Stuart and Derek wanted to bring their considerable knowledge and expertise of voice and data communications technology and its prudent application to assist businesses in the SME marketplace.

Initially working from offices in East Kilbride, Hiper moved to larger City Centre premises in May 2004. Since then Hiper has achieved steady growth and is now a team of 5 highly skilled staff, who between them have nearly 100 years of experience in the ICT field.
